Apollo Design Studio is a multidisciplinary architecture and interiors firm focusing on unique solutions for discerning clientele. Our clients appreciate our attention to detail and authentic solutions to their design programs. For us, the relationships we build are more important than the houses we design.
PAUL SCHLACHTER, PRINCIPAL
Originally from Nebraska, Paul has called Seattle home since 1992. He studied architecture at the University of Nebraska and at Regent’s College in London. Paul honed his skills as an architect working for some of the most prestigious architectural firms in the Northwest including Tom Bosworth, Bohlin Cywinski Jackson and Olson Kundig.
As a lecturer and educator, he travels the country to speak on diverse design topics and he works with local Seattle schools to introduce youth to the architecture profession. In his free time he talks to plants.
CHRISTELLE COETZEE, ASSOCIATE
Christelle Coetzee has been an Associate Architect at Apollo since 2017. She graduated in 2015 with a Master’s degree in Architecture. In 2016 she lived in Seattle and worked for Olson Kundig where she met Paul and the Apollo dream was born.
When not working on architectural projects she likes to assist and learn new skills at a local furniture workshop. In addition to being an architect based in South Africa, Christelle is also an avid mountain biker and outdoor enthusiast.
WILL KEMPER, ASSOCIATE
Will recently joined Apollo Design Studio after working for several years at a high end residential architectural firm. He studied Planning and Preservation in New York and worked for several prestigious firms on the East Coast before heading west to further develop his design skills. Having worked in construction, Will brings a studied and trained eye to every drawing he creates.
Will loves his music, cats and exploring the Cascade and Olympic mountains.
STEVE SCOVILLE, ARCHITECT
Steve has more than 18 years of experience delivering projects as Building Information Models (BIM). His passion for developing systems of efficiency which ensure quality control and process automation is what gives ARCFLO it’s competitive edge.
Steve is a resident of Salt Lake City and is an avid biker and computer builder.
CJ CHRISTENSEN, ARCHITECT
C.J. is a licensed architect with twenty years of experience in design and construction and he’s worked for Frank Gehry in Los Angeles and Olson Kundig in Seattle. His projects take him to amazing locations around the country.
C.J. holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Washington State University and also studied at the University of Sydney.
VIOLANDA NEL, ARCHITECT
Violanda is a registered Architect and exercise gym owner. She manages teams for projects ranging from spatial studies to specialized uses including performance spaces and laboratories.
Violanda is working with Apollo to manage the drawing and construction of a new home in Packwood, Washington.
NAVARRE EBERSOHN, MAKER
Navarre is a maker, who specializes in the design and creation of bespoke merchandise for discerning clientele. He is also working towards his architectural license and recently joined Apollo to assist with the creation of a spectacular dwelling near Joshua Tree in California.
When not creating beautiful drawings and objects, Navarre enjoys touring South Africa on his motorcycle.
